As Field Directors, we oversee the operations of our assigned site(s) within an organization. Acting as a liaison between the corporate office and our assigned site, we create and implement operating practices that are in line with the organization's strategic direction. We provide leadership and direction to field operations, and act as a resource for operations related questions. We monitor service/production and delivery schedules and metrics, and report on them to corporate management.
The term Field Director also refers to people working in (political) campaigns. Those of us who work in campaigns, are responsible for identifying, persuading, and motivating voters to support the candidate or organization we work for. We either do this by direct contact (canvassing), phone calls, messages, or through events.
Core tasks:

- building relationships with external vendors, partners and suppliers to facilitate a cost effective and efficient service delivery process
- maintaining compliance with external regulations and internal policies
- managing performance standards and metrics
