What does a Field Operator do?
We, field operators, are responsible for operating different equipment in the oil or mining industry. Our primary duties include maintaining machinery and having the right knowledge to use them. As field operators, we are also required to report to supervisors when the job is completed. We have to be physically fit so that we can \work in harsh conditions for long hours. Additionally, we work with a group of people and ensure everyone is well coordinated for effective results.
Core tasks:
- ability to use different machines or equipment to perform various tasks
- being able to interpret as well as read blueprints and understand them effectively
- having the physical strength to work for long hours in different weather conditions
- listening to instructions carefully and following them
