What does a Field Superintendent do?

As Field Superintendents, we oversee the daily construction activities at a work site. We are responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials. We monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. We follow quality standards and ensure the protection and security of the construction site. We also communicate and negotiate with external partners such as vendors and lawyers. We Keep track of project progress. We ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards. We Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors to determine project needs. We estimate costs and assure the project is on budget. We plan construction processes. We supervise staff and provide a constructive response. We set performance goals and deadlines.
