About Field Support Specialist

What does a Field Support Specialist do?

As Field Support Specialists, we provide the first line of on-site field system support. We manage hardware, software, software applications, and networking to customers. We oversee field personnel on-site at customers or remotely. We provide technical support and service programs. We oversee product performance and maintenance, product installation, and project management. We also provide site planning and professional services. We coordinate resources to do problem resolution, problem escalation, and the use of system-level diagnostics.

Core tasks:

  • respond and resolve support requests
  • utilize technical training and undocumented, creative solutions
  • provide onsite technical service support for products and instrumentation
  • liaise with Operator Representative, Drilling Crew, Directional Personnel and Geologist
  • repair and gather necessary documentation for end-user training at the customer site.
  • report to Sales Engineer on a daily basis
  • support the business by providing support with Market AP, Recruiting & HRBM
  • responsible for Order to Cash processing including delivery creation, sales order entry, and invoicing
  • support the learning
