About Field Underwriter

What does a Field Underwriter do?

We- the field underwriters work closely with insurance officers and evaluate customers’ and clients’ applications to determine whether or not they are eligible for the loan or not. Along with checking and reviewing the applications, we also run a background check of employees, the financial conditions, and other credit checks. We- the field underwriters, are also responsible for checking the property and doing the inspections. Our job also requires us to do the paperwork, such as documenting the findings, writing recommendations, and denying or accepting requests.
