With offices located in Houston, Texas, and Lafayette, Los Angeles, Fieldwood Energy is one of the largest operators operating in the Gulf of Mexico having diversified operations. The company produces 130,000 barrels of oil per day from assets in the shallows continental shelves and Deepwater US Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Coast Region. Over time, the company has also expanded to develop newer assets in the territorial waters of Mexico. Established in September 2013, the company acquired Apache’s Gulf of Mexico’s shelf business, and that was followed by another acquisition of Sandridge’s Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast business units.
