What does a Fifth Grade Teacher do?

As Fifth Grade Teachers, we are responsible for developing curriculum, planning lessons, teaching various subjects, using a variety of teaching methods, using instruction time effectively, assigning homework, grading tests, and reporting to parents. We prepare lesson materials, home works, assignments, tests, etc to meet curriculum goals. Also, we have to assist students in laboratory works and create an interactive classroom environment for students.

  • developing classroom standards to maintain student discipline and behavior
  • evaluating student performance regularly and preparing progress reports
  • communicating regularly with parents on student performance
  • providing technical guidance and materials to substitute teachers and less experienced teachers
