What does a Finance Intern do?

We, finance interns, support the organization in practical financial niches and administrative tasks. We generate reports and run in-depth analysis on them. We are responsible for taking notes during financial meetings. Our duties include the preparation of statements and entering financial data into company databases. In some cases, we help create audits. We often work in financial reporting and conduct portfolio management. As finance interns, we help with the financial modeling of organizations. We provide accounting support to our supervisors and managers. Moreover, we help with the management of accounts receivable. It is our duty to help in annual budgeting processes. We often work on statistical analysis with our supervisors.

Core tasks:

  • presenting fact-based advice to finance teams
  • preparing financial analysis information for supervisors and management teams
  • assisting with journal entries and monthly closing processes
