As Financial Examiners, we are responsible for monitoring the condition of banks and other financial organizations. We review balance sheets, operating income and expense accounts, and loan documentation of a firm and verify an institution’s assets. Preparing reports outlining an institution’s safety and soundness is part of our daily responsibilities. We observe the minutes of meetings of managers and managing directors. We train other examiners in the financial evaluation process and analyze new regulations to determine the influence on an organization. We establish guidelines for procedures and policies and ensure compliance with new and former regulations. Working as Financial Examiners, we evaluate the health of financial institutions and ensure that banks offer safe loans.
