What does a First Grade Teacher do?

As First Grade Teachers, we are responsible for teaching assigned subjects to first grade students according to the curriculum plan. We coordinate with other first grade teachers to maintain consistency in the curriculum and develop lesson plans and instructional ideas according to school standards. We have to motivate students to participate in various educational activities. We also develop creative learning opportunities for student’s education, social and behavioral growth.

Core tasks:

  • interacting with parents to inform about their children’s academic progress and attending educational trainings and workshops
  • creating positive, structured, learning, and safe environment for students and developing and maintain student behavioral and discipline policies
  • coordinating with other staffs to evaluate and enhancing curricular programs for student academic excellence
  • monitoring student activities in school premises and ensure the safety of every student in the classroom and school grounds
