What does a Fleet Manager do?

As Fleet Managers, we are responsible for handling all facets of fleet activities within a company. We monitor vehicle maintenance, manage drivers, and negotiate with suppliers. We maintain departmental compliance with company policies and procedures. Ensuring departmental adherence to laws and regulations and recordkeeping is part of our daily responsibilities. We supervise other employers and negotiate with suppliers. Working as Fleet Managers, we schedule, route, and maintain transport vehicles. We resolve disputes among employees and analyze the effectiveness of operations. We also implement and enforce transportation scheduling and changes.
