About Floor Person

What does a Floor Person do?

As Floor Persons, we are responsible for greeting and welcoming patrons and ensuring that server stations are well organized and maintained. We remove restaurant trash, attend staff meetings, and respond to patron’s requests as required. Removing any dirty tableware from the dining table and serving complimentary snacks to patrons upon arrival is one of our daily responsibilities. We assist patrons in locating suitable dining tables and set tables with clean linen and napkins. Working as Floor Persons, we ensure that server stations are adequately stocked with tableware and assist the wait staff in delivering meal items to patrons.

Core tasks:

  • assist wait staff in processing patrons’ payments
  • respond to patrons’ questions
  • notify manager of low restaurant supplies
