Florida Atlantic University (FAU) was created in 1961 with its principal campus located in Boca Raton,Florida. In 1964,it opened as the initial public university which provided only upper-division and graduate level courses. Initially the university had only an enrollment of 867 students which increased in 1984 when the university admitted its initial lower-division undergraduate students. Its enrollment has expanded to over 30,000 students representing 140 countries,50 states and the District of Columbia as of 2018. The student-to-faculty ratio of the university is 20:1 and the average class size for undergraduates is 33 students and graduate classes is 12 students. FAU has graded as the most tribally,ethnically,and culturally variant institution in Florida’s State University System.It provides a transformative education to the students which rooted in the belief of creativity and dedication fuel academic excellence.FAU is ranked supreme in the country for undergraduate research and provides world of opportunities to the students.
