About Food Service Director

What does a Food Service Director do?

As Food Service Directors, we are responsible for planning and directing the food service department to ensure optimal guest experience. We ensure healthy and cost-effective meals for the customers. We inspect various departments to ensure their compliance with health and safety protocols. Checking storage areas regularly for proper temperature and cleanliness is also part of our duty. We also plan nutritionally balanced meals keeping in view the customer's likeness. We ensure purchasing of food products from approved vendors. Working as Food Service Directors, we are also responsible for maintaining and update cost records to meet budget guidelines. Finally, we submit written reports to senior management.
