About Fraud Manager

What does a Fraud Manager do?

In the role of Fraud Manager, we monitor reports and other data sources to identify fraud trends and incidents. We build-out new processes and reporting to improve fraud monitoring. Engaging with customers to resolve disputes, escalations, and fraud is our job. We collaborate and guide the Customer Experience team to mitigate risk. We build new operational processes around payment operations, reporting, and fraud. It is our responsibility to identify opportunities to simplify processes, limit risk, and increase operational efficiency. We are responsible for managing a team within the Fraud Department. We oversee all related phases of fraud prevention and detection.

Core tasks:

  • provide direction and assist in establishing priorities for the fraud detection
  • mitigate functions with a focus on protecting assets and reducing reputation risk
  • develop and implement controls
  • oversee fraud detection software
  • provide recommendations to reduce exposure to fraudulent activity
  • assure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
