What does a Front Desk Clerk do?

As Front Desk Clerks, we perform administrative tasks for an establishment. We are a core liaison between clients and a business. We are tasked with the responsibility of performing crucial front desk administrative activities. As Front Desk Clerks, greet clients, answer phone calls, and manage the office budget. Usually, we work in teams and coordinate progress and strategies with front desk supervisors and managers.

Core tasks:

  • meet and greet visitors and provide them with cutting-edge customer service
  • ensuring the front desk is attractive, presentable, and supplied with all the necessary things such as forms, pens, and papers
  • answering all customer questions, incoming calls, and emails
  • redirect telephone calls to the right department and person, and note the important messages
  • accepting all letters and parcels, and deal out them to the right departments
  • monitoring, organizing, and forwarding electronic mails
