What does a Front Desk Supervisor do?

As Front Desk Supervisors, we oversee the work of customer service staff. Working in an establishment, we are the key actors in maintaining efficient and professional customer care operations. We are responsible for managing the front lobby of an institution. We welcome guests, take their information, and reserve the best room for them. Our other duties include collecting payments, settling accounts, and provide instructions to the subordinates. We supervise the activities of front desk receptionists, clerks, cleaners, and other staff.

Core tasks:

  • ensuring exceptional customer service
  • maintaining a calm, professional, and polite demeanor by resolving issues and conflicts
  • answering inquiries from potential invitees and handle hotel reservations
  • reply and solve customer complains
  • handle night audits and respond to calls and emails, and provide the needed information to guests
