About Gate Guard

What does a Gate Guard do?

As Gate Guards, we are responsible for providing timely service to all incoming and outgoing customers. We monitor and maintain traffic flow. It is our duty to ensure all customers receive efficient and accurate customer service. We ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services. We are responsible for protecting people and property. We verify the customer’s purchase by reviewing the customer’s receipt. Directing customers to the correct location for merchandise loading is a part of our job. We ensure yard department team members are informed about all incoming customers. We ensure to help customers in a timely manner.

Core tasks:

  • track and maintain the yard and parking lot
  • report suspicious behavior or sightings
  • write reports of daily activities and irregularities
  • sign in and out all personnel to verify they are authorized on location
  • check supporting documents
  • call police or fire departments in cases of emergency
  • answer alarms at the request of Company Man
