My trainer got fustrated at me for an unknown reason and physically assulted me. HR gave him a 2 day suspension and assigned me another trainer who was verbally abusive belittling me every time I asked him a question. In my opinion it was probably because they are constantly training people and then the company lets them go and hires more people to train. A revolving door!
Pros and Cons
Great hours and voluntary overtime.
Physically and abusive trainers.

I always consider ways to improve process. I'm a career service person so I have opportunities to solve and prevent problems on a daily basis. My previous employer was acquired by GE in 2005. It was refreshing and encouraging to then be employed by an organization that made process improvement part of the goals and objectives for each department.
Pros and Cons
Organizational standards and process improvement requirements motivated everyone.
Sometimes it felt like changes were made too rapidly across the organization.

Horrible Leadership from the top down. Sorry, it's management only, not Leadership. I watched personally as mid-level managers repeatedly lied to upper management because they were afraid for their own jobs or career advancement.
for starters, they have a "program" for the young college kids they recruit. They put these kids through 3 or 4 low level positions such as a line supervisor, a lean leader, or a materials lead. then they throw all the training at them alone, give them all of the opportunities for advancement and they cover for all of their failures.
Tragically, they then promote these kids ahead of more qualified (but less brain-washed) employees, until they have a system that feeds on itself. It is an extremely toxic environment to work in if you are not one of these chosen few.
This also allows the senior managers to have an environment where no one will challenge any ideas because these "kids" are all too eager to please.
Pros and Cons
good pay and benefits, but those are eroding fast
super toxic environment, no integrity in senior management
