Toxic work culture. The company is focused on getting people out instead of building people up. You’re just a number. High stress high work environment.
Pros and Cons
Salary ok, benefits ok
Culture , workload, management

Was fun & very productive at first. Then GEICO started making nonsense changes that brought moral and productivity down.
Pros and Cons
Free lunches quite often, free snacks during the months
All about money for top level made by low level workers blood, sweat and tears

I never had a no call no show before and was working on my 4th raise but I was fired for not showing up on a Sat. that wasn't on my reg schedule, after my manager heard about the difficulties I was facing in life from just being kicked out of my home, etc. They didn’t contact me on the day in question, they actually attempted to stop me from getting unemployment, and lost in court for wrongful termination after admitting their scheduling system was having malfunctions and nobody reached out to me as they usually do, so there was no way for me to know I was scheduled. I wouldn’t recommend working here due to the disingenuous nature that they deal with customers and employees, unless you’re ok with maintaining a fake smile/happy persona in an ever changing industry that encourages you not to tell the full truth, with confidence so it sounds genuine. When onboarding we were promised things like profit sharing checks etc. and they didn’t come through on alot of promises.
Pros and Cons
Free snacks/food/trinkets
Micro-management, disingenuousness, draining, policies/procedures constantly changing

This assessment is from my own personal experience while working at this plantation for 22 years. I experienced racism & bigotry DAILY, and HR could care less. SO GLAD I LEFT!!!!!!
Pros and Cons
NONE. NONE. NONE.

I worked at Geico for 11 years and the entire time I was there it was a great place to work with the exception of the micromanaging. If you had to take a quick personal to go to the restroom, if calls were on hold they would come in while you're using it to ask you to hurry and get back on the phones. If a family emergency happens, unless it's your spouse or child, it will count against your personal time which could ultimately get you written up or fired if you use too much of it. I loved the employees there but the management made it hard to work. One of the major downfalls of the company is the fact that they held monitoring sessions where management would listen to live calls and after the call they would come on and pick at everything you did wrong. That usually messed up you mentally going into the next call.
Pros and Cons
Great benefits, great employees. The pay is one of the best in the area.
Everything is micromanaged. They frown on personal time.

they constantly switched trainers during training instead of learning from one trainer, if you don’t fit into the left leaning policies then they will harass you till you quit or make the work environment so difficult you miss steps. supervisor at one point while speaking with her said i want intelligent enough to work there.
Pros and Cons
great pay and benefits
horrible bosses if you do not fit in or apart of the in crowd

I was hired after a long, grueling interview and an afternoon of role-play. Classroom Training was not as thorough as it could have been, and focused on law more than how to handle clients, or how to actually do the job. Floor training was like being dumped into the deep end. The first thing we were told when we got floor training was that our job was to NOT pay claims if at all possible. Workload was overwhelming. Weekend (Sat AND Sun) was common.
Pros and Cons
Decent pay, but you can find better.
See above.

Lots of hard work but you will have lots of support. It can be stressful because you are trying to get as many policies sold but it’s doable.
Pros and Cons
Great recognition among team
Working nights, being on the phone the whole time you are at work

Micromanagement is through the roof, training for the job is not great. Supervisors speak to you like you're children.

As a whole very good company. I have sweet memories.
There are bad apples who have a vested interest in killing the potential for great technocrats.
The company is very stable but pays less.
Pros and Cons
Buffet style stability
old mentality

I was in the MDP program ans worked my way up from agent to supervisor. You have to meet 5 metrics each month. Super stressful and they leave you behind or fire you if you don’t preform. Customers are always angry. Being a supervisor was better than being an agent but I hated micromanaging my agents.
Only benefit of this place is great Health Insurance. If you don’t have a degree this is a good place to work because you can grow in the company. Other than that I do not recommend working on this high stress environment.
Pros and Cons
Health Insurance
Everything else sucks. Super stressful and not much job security.
