In the role of Genetic Counselor, we are responsible for interviewing the patients to collect the important information. Our primary responsibility is to provide genetic consultation services to the patients. Functioning as Genetic Counselors, we are accountable for providing reports about genetic disorders to the customers. We work collaboratively with other team members in conducting the genetic tests. We identify the issues with the health of patients and provide them with details and guidance to take care of themselves. We also act as the family advocates for patients.
