Gensler is a global design and architecture firm founded in 1965 by M. Arthur Gensler Jr., Drue Gensler and James Follet. It established an office in Houston in 1972 to provide interior design services for the corporate headquarters of the Pennzoil Company. Gensler is divided into 16 diverse practice areas which covers a broad spectrum of industry sectors and delivers a range of project types for clients all around the world. It generated the revenue of $1.197 billion in 2017, the most of any architecture firm in the United States. The company operated offices in 48 cities in 16 countries globally in 2018, working for clients in over 100 countries. Gensler became the first firm inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame in 2009, awarded by the Architecture Firm Award in 2000 by the American Institute of Architects and many more.
