Georgia Department of Revenue was established in 1938 as a primary tax-collecting agency in the State of Georgia. It is a state government office division in Atlanta, Georgia. The corporate headquarter is located in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States. The Georgia Department of Revenue is under the leadership of the State Commissioner of Revenue, Robyn A. Crittenden. He is appointed by the governor of the state and serves as the chief executive officer of the Alabama Department of Revenue. Its mission is to administer and monitor the revenue/tax laws of the State of Georgia and responsible for the finance, taxation, and monetary policy of the government departments, including the income tax department, motor vehicle division, business and License tax, property tax, and many more in order to promote public confidence and compliance.
