Georgia-Pacific is a well-known manufacturers and marketers of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building materials, and chemicals. The company employs more than 30,000 people at nearly 300 locations in North America and South America. Founded in 1927 and Headquarters in Atlanta, GA announce plans to invest in a new $285 million state-of-the-art gypsum wallboard facility near Sweetwater, Texas. The project will provide construction jobs for up to 300 workers per day and the new plant will employ nearly 120 full-time employees on full operation in 2022. The company cares about the communities and the health of the environment and is dedicated to work every day to increase recycling, decrease energy use, set the standard for forestry and deploy strategic partnerships to meet environmental goals. Since 1927, Georgia-Pacific has never stopped growing and started in a single building in Augusta, Georgia, and now has more than 300 Georgia-Pacific locations across the world.
