Georgia-Pacific Company Reviews and Ratings
Truck Driver
West Chester, OH - January 22, 2024
I worked at the Millwork warehouse on Circle Freeway Dr. I started on 12/27/1989. On the first day it was 22 degrees below zero and there was no heat in the building. All the pop in the pop machine froze. I was also sent to the Independence Ky. plant to get their moulding program set up. It became Blue Linx. And the West Chester plant was sold to Milliken Millwork. I stayed on with Milliken who put heat in the building. Spent 15 years there
Pros and Cons
The pay and benefits were pretty good
No heat in the building. Trucks loaded outside

I spent my entire career with Georgia-Pacific, working in various locations throughout the United States. From the beginning Georgia-Pacific was a very good place to work. When the company was acquired by Koch Industries, GP went from "Good to Great". Koch industries has an incredible culture and business philosophy. They transformed Georgia-Pacific into truly special. Highly recommend GP/Koch for individuals seeking to make a difference, create value for society, and be compensated according to their contributions.
Pros and Cons
Strong culture
Great company for people who strive to create value and innovate. Not a good fit for coasting.

If everyone in the higher up had better communication and knew what when something went wrong when 95% of the new students was let go do to one teacher then something wasn't right and the section i was placed in had no knowledge of what i was suppose to do so i was doing random stuff and left alone to do them. The plus side tho you have a friendly crew and was nice to work with. Also, when inviting new people to a program like that and promising a job title in the end of it you better actually have the ok to do so from the union found out from them that they never agreed on the students getting a position that was promised so ya wasted my time
Pros and Cons
There was none
Everything
