Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization. It was founded in 2012 on the mission to minimize the gender disparity in technology and to encourage and support women to choose computer science as a major in their college studies. It also empowers and equips women with contemporary tech skills so that they could equally get contemporary tech-based opportunities. For the purpose, it arranges after-school-clubs, summer impression programs, and college loops. Bravery, sisterhood, and activism are the core values of this organization. It operates at numerous locations in the US, the UK, Canada, and India. It does not offer many opportunities for candidates looking for full-time jobs. It also pays a low salary and shows interest in getting volunteers and interns on board. The benefits it provides are also limited to free lunch and snacks.
