As GIS Technicians (Geographic Information Systems Technicians), we are responsible for managing geographic data. We collect data, create maps, or help GIS Analysts with creating maps. Our tasks involve lots of digitization. Our job of GIS Technicians can be similar to GIS analysts’. We are hired across industries, and can specialize in database management, cartography, programming, and more.
