About Glazier

What does a Glazier do?

As glaziers, we perform tasks related to glass. We specialize in glass cutting, installing, and removing all kinds of glasses and their substitutes. We measure glass fittings to determine project specifications. Our duty is to secure glass sheets into wood scarves or outlines with clasps or moldings, adding clay around sheet edges to seal joints. We also maintain stock of pieces of equipment and hardware to ensure they are working in good order. Interpreting blueprints before installations to prevent any mistake is our responsibility.

Core tasks:

  • communicating with customers for procedures and cost
  • loading glass on delivery trucks
  • cleaning the area after installation
  • marking and smoothing edges of glass when required
