About Graduate Assistant

What does a Graduate Assistant do?

As Graduate Assistants, we are responsible for assisting professors with various administrative tasks, coordinating campus events, and conducting research. We organize undergraduate programs. We carry out a variety of research experiments and analyze the results. Creating research methodologies is also a part of our duty. We Co-author research journals with the professors. We provide help to the professor with grading papers. Working as Graduate Assistants, we are responsible for attending workshops and lecturing classes regularly. We act as a contact between students and professors. We develop and maintain electronic bulletin boards and discussion forums. Finally, we prepare review materials and handouts for quiz sections.

Core tasks:

  • assisting with the management of campus events
  • administering performance evaluations of student staff
  • holding extra review sessions for exams
  • conducting quiz sessions for students
