DESCRIPTION:
CBS TV DISTRIBUTION is currently looking for a motion graphics designer to support the on-air promotion team on several nationally syndicated television shows. We are looking for an experienced, energetic, motivated Adobe After Effects designer to become part of our team.
Job Description:
Responsible for working hand in hand with the creative and editorial teams to create compelling graphic looks for on-air promos (topical, generic and image), social media, and sales presentations. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgement and an ability to collaborate within a team environment. You will be an integral part of every stage in the creative process, from conceptualization to delivery.
Required Skills:
Fluency with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Strong working knowledge of Windows
Basic equipment and system troubleshooting
Familiarity with Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere a plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years After Effects experience
3+ years of designing for on-air promotional spots
Technical knowledge in the operation of Adobe Creative Cloud suite
Must possess the ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
Must have strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Creativity, energy, enthusiasm, organization and initiative are essential

TASKS
- Design complex graphics and animation, using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment.
- Create basic designs, drawings, and illustrations for product labels, cartons, direct mail, or television.
- Participate in design and production of multimedia campaigns, handling budgeting and scheduling, and assisting with such responsibilities as production coordination, background design, and progress tracking.
- Create two-dimensional and three-dimensional images depicting objects in motion or illustrating a process, using computer animation or modeling programs.
SKILLS
- Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

- Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
