People in rolls of authority are there because of buddy system. Our direct supervisor will belittle, harass or bully employees and the employees will say it will just get worse if they report it.

I worked for this company for four years. My workload was well above average and I spent a lot of nights and weekends getting everything accomplished. This workload was a result of extremely high turnover due to a nearly verbally abusive management team. At only four years, I was the most tenured Analyst. I have now learned that this type of work environment is very unusual and my level of motivation to work hard and progress my career has now returned. I used to love my position at GPI, then those in upper management sucked the enjoyment out of the role and the life out of me in general. Amongst my time trying to get another position, I have learned that GPI has a terrible reputation with recruiters, as well as potential new employers if they happen to be familiar with GPI, which many are. I was treated unfairly and differently than the rest of my team despite my tenure and status and level of respect gained across the company. My direct report was verbally abusive and a liar.

Pros and Cons
You will only progress so far before certain ppl in upper mgmt ensure you're cut down.

I was terminated after what they said was a violation while I was on probation but the whole Thing is I shouldn’t have been on probation. I filed a grievance about supervisors who broke the policies by cursing and yelling at us and chewing tobacco that would fly out of their mouths when they yelled in anger. All of which is against company policy. I complained about how white peole Were allowed to sit and view entertainment and the people Of Color were made to do all the work I even have a recording of it. I filed a report with hr and she never did anything and later terminated me on the grounds of the same retaliatory assessment that was falsified as I proved it. All together they are a bunch of lying racist. They offer a bonus but guess what they are gonna take 800 of it in taxes out of every 1000 so don’t count on that money! The union won’t stand up for you I paid dues and was still denied representation and I have the text messages and audio recordings to prove it.
