About Group Account Director

What does a Group Account Director do?

As group account directors, we usually work for advertising agencies, where we are responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts. We act as a link between our organization and the clients’ senior-level management. Working with them, we plan, execute, manage and analyze marketing campaigns, as well as drive initiatives and ideas forward. Interacting with clients on a daily basis, we are a key contributor for their day-to-day issues and projects. We also work closely with various internal departments.

Core tasks:

  • identifying and securing growth opportunities
  • defining key business objectives and roadmaps for accounts
  • managing and providing strategic leadership to account teams
