My supervisors Joey and John were great. Company has too much debt and always in a panic/siege mentality. Cutting back employees and procedure instead of focusing on sales. Great co-workers though.

Pros and Cons
Great co-workers
No raises. See above.

The company’s performance expectations are unattainable with current staffing levels. Managers cannot effectively run the daily operations of the business because they are frequently tasked to act as sales clerks.

Pros and Cons
Employee discount
Understaffed

Good company with great people and a sweet discount, but there is no good opportunity for upward mobility. Warehouse folks make minimum wage, and the sales associates do too but they also earn commission on all of their sales. If you are promoted to lead, you get put at $17-19 an hour with no commission for more work! That’s a lot less pay for a ton more work. Most of the manager and lead spots are open for this exact reason, but having no managers creates a whole other messy situation. It’s seasonal work too, February-May is really slow but the rest of the year is pretty consistent good money if you’re in sales. Otherwise, you meet a lot of really cool people working there and shopping there. You learn a lot too, there’s so many different brands and products and slowly you start to learn them all. All in all, a pretty good job but they definitely have some restructuring to do,

Pros and Cons
Commission, good people, employee discount, laid back environment
Inconsistent or too little pay, no upward mobility,

I learned a lot musically working there just by working with others and witnessing great musicians. It is a fun atmosphere, and makes retail fun. You also meet professional musicians sometimes who come in to buy parts in your city, and you find out when they play, what gear they use and everything. It’s awesome. There are ways to grow in the company if you decide this is your type of work. I started in accessories years back, and eventually moved to different departments where I could make commission.

Pros and Cons
Flexible work hours when in school
Not enough hours sometimes depending on department, not enough income for a 2 week period sometimes

Very woke and skinny jeans. Not for the hard worker. This job is for the perpetual teenager. Very low pay very crap benefits. Believe it or not, even Guitar Center cannot escape the accusations of alleged white privilege. You know who you people are! Lil haters! Its ok I look forward to your next big album! All the little boys will gossip gossip gossip and all I hear is “Im a hater, Im a hater, Im a hater” They try and practice cancel culture over there. Nice try little turds.

Pros and Cons
There are no pros
They so woke they going outta business ?

I was hired as repair technician for extremely cheap with the promise that after 6 months my pay would substantially increase and I would be promoted to "Hub - technician". This a lie. I sacrificed my entire financial security for this lie. I was only able to work at Guitar Center for 6 months because they pay less than McDonalds for a skilled trade that not many people can do. However, it only takes 1 jealous employee to complain of imaginary discrimination that does not exist in order ruin another man's dream job. Guitar Center is woke a straight white male should not apply to work them. The requirements are to act feminine and if you don't pass the woke feminists sniff test then they'll make sure you don't work there. You have to wear skinny jeans and gossip all day about employees who you think are not woke. Guitar Center - the most WOKE company around thats going down, down, down....

Pros and Cons
No pros work at this company
Sociopathic hiring and firing practices, Gossip from "WOKE" employees
