About Gunsmith

What does a Gunsmith do?

As Gunsmiths, we are responsible for repairing, modifying, and assembling various types of guns. We identify potential safety hazards in guns and restore antique guns. We install chokes on shotguns and safely test-firing guns. We maintain accurate records of the nature of work done on clients’ guns including gun type, caliber, and gauge. Inspecting customers’ guns to identify any mechanical problems and designing guns according to customer’s specifications is one of our main responsibilities. We modify or adapt factory-made guns to customer’s requirements and replace the barrels to change the caliber or provide a customized look. Working as Gunsmiths, we correct accuracy problems in guns and alter the overall rifle weight.

Core tasks:

  • prevent rusting on guns
  • restore old and dilapidated guns
  • attach optical sights and recoil pads to guns
