Established in 1969 in Hartford, Connecticut by David Pulver and Clinton Clark as The Children’s Place. The company started its journey by selling apparel, accessories, and toys before deciding that apparel had the highest growth potential. In the early 1980s, it was repositioned as a specialty retailer of children’s apparel for newborns to pre-teens and started providing branded products along with private-label merchandise. In 2019, The Children’s Place purchased the rights to the Gymboree brand and in early 2020, the company launched products online and in selected stores. The iconic brand features bow-to-toe collections that celebrate childhood, colorful designs in playful ways, and help families look their best for any occasion. The company has 15,000+ associates in its stores, corporate or international offices, and distribution centers. It offers a fast-paced and engaging work culture along with competitive compensation and benefits, a gamut of training and development opportunities, and more.
