Hack the Hood is dedicated to promoting economic mobility in Black, Latinx, and Indigenous communities through technology and data literacy education. It builds the capacity of emerging tech leaders to advocate for just and equitable tech design that benefits all communities through industry and education partnerships. The free tech education programs focus on exploring fundamental tech skills through a justice lens. As a participant, one will learn fundamental tech skills while participating in discussions about social justice and the impact of technology on the communities. The curriculum, which is based on justice, is intended to provide an intentional and conscious introduction to Black and Brown learners' challenges in the tech industry. They are hiring development manager, carrier pathways technical instructor, director of curriculum and program.
