They hired when they had a large project, but when it turned out that project was mismanaged and out on hold they started making every push mice and do daily self reports which they then measured progress. The first part of the day was spent ready to work, and if the project seemed busy and one didn’t spend the last 3 hours detailing the pages drawn and the next day’s goals with intimate notes they had a review.
