I came to Harris Teeter for a part time flexible work schedule job. They were happy to oblige! I started in 2021 and have no regrets. The extra benefits you receive were not mentioned when I was hired. Which I don’t mind! It’s fun getting surprised with an extra perk!

The store manager at store 388 in Purcellville is a joke, he had been fired from the company in the past for throwing away thousands of dollars of merchandise, yet expects no one to make mistakes. He refuses to pay people their worth ESPECIALLY if they are a woman. If he doesn't like you, he will watch the cameras of your department like a hawk wanting you to mess or or will lurk in the aisles watching you while taking a personal call. He does not handle customers well either as he told a woman who's child was assaulted that we had no video footage of the event, which we did. He is a joke and until he is removed I will never tell anyone to work under that tyrant

This company is more about politics than the well-being of the employees. Better be ready to kiss butt or you'll never get anywhere. HR dept is a total joke ....they DO NOT have your back, especially if its against anyone in corporate. It used to be a good company. But if you're smart, you'll work for one of their competitors

I have worked for Harris Teeter for almost 6 years. The first year I worked as a cashier then in floral, produce and then personal shopper. When floral manager position came up I went into training. In the “6 weeks “ of training I received about a week . The rest was going into another store to work and replace my trainer on her days off. Went into a store after training with very little knowledge and learned on the go.

I was hired as a pharmacy technician for the new Severna Park Harris Teeter in Maryland. I loved my pharmacy manager. It was a new pharmacy so it needed to build up a clientele. The management staff offered me other positions in the store part time to supplement the decreased hours in pharmacy, but I eventually left and moved back to NJ. Anyway, this was a great place to work at the time and I wish I could have stayed there. The pay was not that great for a pharmacy technician, it was only 12.50 to start but like I said the management was great and the pharmacy manager was awesome!!!!
Pros and Cons
Friendly, offered other positions when hours were shortened, very understanding.
I currently have not cons, it was a new store at the time, everything was great.
