About Health PLAN Specialist

What does a Health PLAN Specialist do?

We, the health plan specialists, make sure that the company is in the condition to pay for the medical expenses of the insured employees. Our job role requires us to examine the medical record of the employees and to examine the insurance claims made by them. Also, we communicate with the insurance providers and update the internal billing databases. We also are responsible for electronically storing patients’ records and filling out the registration forms. Verifying medical expenses also is a part of our job.

Core tasks:

  • resolving the queries of patients and employees
  • interacting with the insurance providing agencies
  • obtaining approval from the insurance providing companies
