About Health Services Administrator

What does a Health Services Administrator do?

In the role of Health Services Administrator, we manage and check all facility health service activities. We put in place all the required healthcare services. We manage the department budget. We improve the operational efficiencies of the facility’s health service program. We serve as a liaison between facility staff, contracting agency, and compliance agencies. We manage the operations of a facility’s healthcare operations. We ensure the fulfillment of the healthcare needs of the facility.

Core tasks:

  • develop healthcare policies and procedures
  • direct and manage the day-to-day activities of the health service unit
  • ensure compliance with the policies and procedures of the company
  • direct the work of contract providers and other employees
  • ensure insurance coverage and appropriate licensure of all healthcare personnel
  • monitor operational issues
  • ensure attainment of proper accreditation of the medical program
  • identify financial responsibilities for all incurred expenses
  • evaluate and recommend methods of improving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
