What does a Helicopter Pilot do?

Functioning as Helicopter Pilots, we are responsible for inspecting the internal areas of the helicopter to identify any issues with them. Our primary responsibility is to check the weather forecasts and predictions before flying the helicopters. We monitor the helicopters technical help to report any changes to the helicopter technicians. Working as Helicopter Pilots, we are accountable for managing emergency situations by ensuring the implementation of safety regulations of the helicopters. We identify the areas of improvement in the instrument panels. We also collaborate with other helicopter pilots in flying the helicopter.

Core tasks:

  • training the newly hired pilots
  • landing the helicopters at appropriate targets
  • providing accurate information to the rescue programs
  • implementing safety rules and regulations during emergency situations
  • reporting the issues to the helicopter managers
