Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) was a provider of modular mid-range and high-end computer data storage systems, software and services which was founded in 1989 with its headquarters based in Santa Clara, California. It was a completely owned subsidiary of Hitachi Limited and part of the Hitachi Information Systems and Telecommunications Division. The operations of the company were merged with Pentaho and Hitachi Insight Group in 2017 to form Hitachi Vantara. Hitachi Data Systems sold through direct and indirect channels in 2010 in more than 170 countries and regions. The company uses data to power the digital enterprise, comprising over 6,000 employees and businesses in more than 100 countries. People are it’s greatest assets who have a positive impact and drive the company to build the highest possible impact on society and the environment.
