Hospice by the Bay was first started as Hospice of Marin in 1975. It is the oldest hospice in California and the second oldest in the United States and headquartered in Larkspur, California, United States. The Chairman of the Hospice Board is Daniel E. Cohn. Mary C. Kitty Whitaker is the CEO of the hospice. It is affiliated with UCSF Health. Hospice by Bay is a non-profit but privately owned hospice providing high-quality hospice care, pediatric, skilled home health care services, and adult palliative care to patients and their families throughout the Bay area. They are serving the counties of Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Sonoma, and the cities of American Canyon, Napa, and Vallejo, including the surrounding patient population. As a Bay Area health care provider, their mission is to enhance the quality of life for the patient, families, and caregivers.
