About Hospitalist

What does a Hospitalist do?

As hospitalists, we are in charge of providing general medical care and health facilities to patients regardless of their background. Our primary concern is to check on the admitted patients, run diagnostic tests, and see what can be done to fasten patientsโ€™ recovery. We also prescribe medicines to patients with diseases such as asthma, kidney infection, and respiratory diseases. As a hospitalist, we have a huge responsibility because we are cornered about the entire human body and not only one organ.

Core tasks:

  • treating various general medical conditions
  • collecting patients data, monitoring health, analyzing the reports
  • prescribing medicines and ordering lab tests
  • referring patients to other specialists
