About HR Analyst

What does a HR Analyst do?

As HR Analysts, we gather benchmark data about jobs, compensation and benefits, calculate retention, turnover and internal mobility rates, and map out salary ranges for open positions. Other responsibilities include identifying trends, drying useful conclusions and recommending solutions, while helping ensure maximum efficiency for the human resource functions of the organization, from hiring and payroll to employee training and development.

Core tasks:

  • reporting on key recruiting metrics, such as time to fill and hiring costs
  • forecasting costs by department and helping create budgets
  • assessing results from employee performance reviews
  • analyzing employees’ answers to internal surveys
  • recommending areas of improvement for human resource procedures
