Employment at H&R Block enhanced my background such that being an assistant manager provided me with the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, effective outcomes, and strategic methods towards teamwork.

Work as a senior tax analyst for about 12 years with H & R block. This company help me grow and reach goals that I only dreamed of.

This was one of my favorite companies I've worked for. Everyone was helpful, family like environmental, and full of positive energy. My duties was not limited to answering the phone and filing. Everyone took me under their wings to teach me about taxes and the proper way to prepare taxes.

Going to be 8 years and counting. Great experience with clients, grow Tax Knowledge and awesome co workers and teamwork.

Hands down, by far, the best company. If you can work here, do. I was surprised at how great it was to work here and had to leave to find that out. Unfortunately.

Seasonal job during tax season. I set my own flexibility. My earnings increase every year and I enjoy it.

I have been an ATL (Office Manager) with H&R Block for 4 years. I have enjoyed every moment and the intensity that comes at the end of the season is the culmination of all of your hard work and dedication.

I was straight out told not to move up, I wouldn't be able to handle it. Then, another company recruited to higher level full-time year round position. When I asked how they found me, they replied several of your customers recommended you. Other comments about get the boxes checked is absolutely correct. Get the boxes check and we all celebrate success never mind what we are standing hip deep in.

I hadn't expected to work at Block this season, receiving a position in January, and I was excited to return. I learned so much from co-workers with information to utilize wherever life leads my employment.

H&R Block is one of the best jobs i held in my life. Perfect location. The hours were flexable and i had fantastic coworkers, we were like a little family. It seasonal but they give you the oprtunity to return year after year. Great company to work for.

It is a good place to work seasonally. You can learn as much as you want and leveling up is at your own pass.

I took this job because it was very close to my home and I did not have my license at the time. It was very basic and simple....answer phones, schedule appointments, file paperwork.

H&R provides a ton of high quality training. If you want to grow it is 100% available to you. I fell in love with tax law and helping small business owners that after my first year I went to study for my Enrolled Agent license which I earned February of year 2. You get great experience because every person who walks in the office is a new situation so it is great exposure. Honestly if I had any complaints it would be that I wished they had more full time options, and more staff because those peak hours during the season you’re staying late and then opening the next day. That does get very draining emotionally and physically.

If you don't like to feel like a puppet then don't join this organization. Toxic leadership, everyone is looking to check a box to look good on reports and you will be thrown under the bus in a heart beat for them to look good.

Worked for three tax seasons. Hoped to work during pandemic but mandatory requirements. Due to medical conditions, unable to comply with requirements.

This office was run by a young lady that also was managing another office. There was bad feelings in our office when her brother-in-law as a first year preparer was allowed to handle returns that were above his level. The schedule was made so that she was in the office whenever he was and she would help him. There were people that could handle them but they were scheduled for him to handle. I choose not to return them and have been doing tax on a volunteer basis. I do believe that they are priced to high and that in order for people to get part of their return return early they use them.

First at all my Boss manager was Mrs . Barbara Davis, very excellent person, working with her every day was a pleasure, I enjoyed every day and all the tax-pro. Co-worker was very cool experience. We made a very excellent environment,

Great place to work if you like meeting new people, problem solving tax issues. Opportunities are available to help general public understand the tax code.

They do what they can too keep you down as part of maintaining a job with them. Also they make sure to keep you seasonal and don't even offer a full time job to anyone

Hr block is a great part time job. The tax season lasts 3 1/2 months . As long as you continue to advance the pay is good . As a senior citizen I was with block for 9 years . I took their tax class and joined the team after graduation. I worked my way from customer service provider to tax pro to office manager .

Over the course of 4 years, I went from entry level, guy off the street, to a business analyst with only some college. My results were not typical however. The vast, vast majority of other hires were fired in April as you may imagine and even as a business analyst doing routine report writing (knee deep in this SQL every day) I was 10 month seasonal.

H&R Block is very professional when tax law is concerned, and one of the top places to have your taxes done. But as far as team work among the preparers is concern they can and should try a little harder. Matthew 22:39 in the Bible. Especially in this time we are living in. Thank you.

Worked for HR Block for seventeen years and enjoy working for them and the clients understand what you can do for them

Minimum wage pay. Office management was not present. Left to your own on tax preparation. I spent alot of time leveling up without any commission at the end. Very poor upper management as well.

I loved working here the co workers are great and the hours where also good for me at the time Robin and Bob Brain was so good to me

Before I went to work with this company, I had over twenty years experience doing tax returns. This company offer an opportunity to become experienced in the vast new technologies of the time. Some what complicated depending on which type of tax situations that occurred. Company very customer oriented, many very good tax professionals were always available. However , their main philosophy, their main objective was to make money, lots of money. They push you hard in order to achieve , at times, some very ridiculous financial goals. any of the associate were great to work with. However they really find ways to screw you our of bonuses, by making on the spot changes in the process as they went along. Very frustrating. Over all, a friar place to work, and if you put a lot of hours in, which they highly control, you could make a descent pay.
