Hertfordshire Music Service is the lead partner for the Hertfordshire Music Hub and operates as a trading business with a turnover of £9.5 million within the County Council’s Children’s Services division. It is the largest Music Service in the UK and provides peripatetic tuition in most Hertfordshire schools and operates 12 Music Centres around the county.

We are seeking an HR and Business Infrastructure Officer to provide advice and guidance on complex HR and business infrastructure related matters in respect to Hertfordshire Music Service, ensuring provision of best practice advice to assist with the development of the service. You will ensure the drive for income and efficiency is sustained and that best practice and efficient business practices and policies are embedded. You will plan and implement evidence based interventions that are informed by strategic HR and Business data analysis and that these analyses are also informed by a combination of industry knowledge, tools, and technology to improve business practice and the customer journey.

The postholder will work closely with the Head of Organisation and Sustainability, the Music Service Business Manager and Transformation Programme Manager.
