POLITICO is seeking an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. As a POLITICO HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in facilitating our employee-oriented, high performance workplace culture by taking the lead on HR communications, policy & compliance and key employee engagement initiatives.
What you'll do:
Coordinate new hire on-boarding, orientation, and follow up
Manage off-boarding process (exit survey, exit interviews)
Assist in action planning and coordination of HR initiatives including: Annual Employee Engagement Survey, Annual Performance Reviews, 90-Day New Hire Reviews, and Manager Development Trainings
Administer employment policy and compliance including: Employee Handbook, federal/state employment laws; as well as developing new policies for our changing workforce
Create and distribute HR communications (open enrollment, employee recognition)
Perform activities to develop, implement and apply compensation policies and programs
Help administer benefits and paid time off programs and answer general inquiries
Manage data entry associated with employment actions (offer letters, employment agreements)
Act as Project Manager for other one-time employee engagement activities or trainings
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in HR or a related field
Human Resources experience preferred; benefit and compensation experience preferred
Broad business and financial understanding and ability to apply to human capital implications
Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple clients
Adept at communicating effectively across all levels of internal and external stakeholders while inspiring confidence
Strong project management skills with an ability to identify and analyze business and organizational needs
