Job Description

Partnering with the Human Resources team, you will assist with various projects and day to day tasks. We will rely on you to maintain personnel files and internal systems. It will also be your job to assist with HR duties including new-hire and termination paperwork. We are a growing organization with opportunity to learn multiple facets of the Human Resources profession as our HR intern. Duties and responsibilities include : Maintenance and updating of HR records and files. Work with HR Generalists to process new hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process. Conduct phone screens and reference check calls. Audit and organize company I-9s. Send HR correspondence to employees. Conduct data entry to maintain Human Resources Information System. Provide support to HR team with various administrative tasks. Assist in other departmental and organization projects as needed and as assigned. Qualifications The ideal candidate is reliable, dependable, enthusiastic, conscientious, organized and very detail-oriented. Excellent time management and multitasking skills are a must. Computer literacy and intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office required. Candidates must be professional and able to handle confidential/sensitive information. Must be able to work both autonomously and with others in the department. Part-time or full-time opportunity with flexibility in hours based on class schedules.

  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
