About Human Service Specialist

What does a Human Service Specialist do?

As Human Service Specialists, we are responsible for providing social services to individuals. It is our responsibility to conduct interviews of clients to verify their compliance to eligibility criteria of various social services programs. We verify information provided with the application form for social programs. It is our prime duty to provide direct help to those who are in dire need of support from social service agencies. We also analyze social problems and develop programs to resolve such issues. After development of social services programs, we work on implementing them. We are responsible for maintaining client records and ensuring their confidentiality.

Core tasks:

  • interview clients and verify their information to check if they are eligible for getting served from various social service programs
  • develop social service programs to improve quality of life of individuals
  • provide counseling to people needing immediate assistance
  • maintain client's record by ensuring its confidentiality
